About

I'm Julian Andrade, Global Capability Lead for Application Modernization at Linkroad, formerly Link Consulting. I'm responsible for how we modernize clients' application estates: the strategy, the offering, the partnerships and the quality of what gets delivered.

I'm an engineer by background. I spent most of my first decade in enterprise integration: Oracle SOA, Service Bus, BPM and ADF, for retail, health and startup clients across EMEA, including integration services for Portugal's national health data and living-will registries at SPMS. I built Link's chatbot practice from scratch before large language models made that a mainstream topic. My team built Elsa, Grupo Salvador Caetano's digital assistant, which won the IDC Portugal Digital Award 2020 for Best Future of Customer & Consumers Project.

In 2023 I moved into business management: first a business area, then the Integration, Cloud & Experience unit, and from 2026 the global AppMod capability, with over 100 people across seven delivery areas. I've managed partnerships with Google Cloud, Solace, Kong and MuleSoft, and I'm now working on how Anthropic's Claude, Google's Gemini and agentic tooling change the way we build and modernize software.
